did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock

Now these things were our examples, to the
intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.

let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three
and twenty thousand.
Neither
let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of
serpents.

murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
Now
all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our
admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
Wherefore
let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
There
hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful,
who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able;}
(Yes. I love those words: “above that ye are
able.”)

Wherefore,
my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.} (I Corinthians 10:1-14).
1906 OUTPOURING WAS NOT THE RETURN
OF PENTECOST
May the Lord add a blessing to the reading of
His holy words. I do not want to weary your patience this evening, but we have
no where to go. I think that when we come here we come home, it is an evening
where everybody just runs around the country trying to get a little peace, a
little joy of some kind, but this is our peace, this is our joy. Yes, and we
enjoy the presence of the Lord.
I will preach a little bit on: ‘Pentecostalism under the Message: Wilderness
Temptations.’ For some that may not understand what I mean by
“Pentecostalism.” What I am saying is that Pentecostalism has crept right under
this message, and many are based upon Pentecostalism. But what is
Pentecostalism? In our understanding after publishing Book Fifteen, four
hundred pages and it is on the internet which was taken from about eleven
messages preached in Connecticut and here, it is fully detailed. Just to give
you a little understanding of Pentecostalism, in way of remembrance. There was
a great move of God in 1906. We believe that to be a great move of God that
started with a brother called
So now, that gave us the indication of what
1906 Pentecostalism was based upon. But all the same, it was a genuine move of
God. God did outpour His Spirit. Now, this was made very plain in the Church
Ages Book, 377, 380. The prophet of God said that, it was not the return of
Pentecost. That is fully established in the message that, it was not the return
of Pentecost. It was not the Latter Rain. He clearly brought that out. That was
not rapturing faith. He said, “That was an outpouring of the Holy Spirit mixed
with demon power, and devils manifesting the gifts of the Spirit.”

W.M.B.: 377-2 This age started just after the turn of the twentieth century. As
it was to be the age in which the true church would return to being the bride
she was at Pentecost, we know that there must of necessity be a return of
dynamic power. The believers sensed this in their spirits and began crying to
God for a new outpouring such as was in the first century.
What
seemed to be the answer came as many began to speak in tongues and manifest
gifts of the Spirit. It was not, for the latter rain can come only after the
former rain. In it was a mixture of the unrighteous partaking of Spiritual
blessing and manifesting in the Holy Ghost as we have. (A Resume Of The Ages – Church Age Book
Cpt.10).
Now, we went through eleven messages and we
combed the history to show you the error of Pentecostalism, and it is now going
out, circulating around the world. The name of that book is called, ‘Pentecostalism - One Hundred Years versus
Pentecost.’
This 1906 outpouring was fully accepted by
all Pentecostals that, it was the return of Pentecost, thus they called
themselves Pentecostals. People that belong to that movement do not even know
how they came by that name. But they thought that Pentecost had returned, and
they called themselves Pentecostals. So now, the prophet of God after
denouncing that, or the article of Pentecost, he said, “There must of necessity
be a return of dynamic power, and there must be a true return of Pentecost.

W.M.B.: 379-1 But what about the true seed? It will happen just as we have
said. The people of God are being made ready by the Word of Truth from the
messenger to this age. In her will be the fullness of Pentecost for the Spirit
will bring the people right back to where they were at the beginning. That is
"Thus saith the Lord." (A Resume Of The Ages – Church Age Book Cpt.10).
TRUSTING PENTECOSTALISM FOR THE
RAPTURE
Now, out of that movement came forth many,
many great men of God. The time will fail to go back to that but we are
familiar, and we combed the history, and we showed you right up how Pentecost
was developed, we came to 2006: one hundred years of Pentecostalism. Beyond a
shadow of a doubt it is irrefutable, we challenged the world on the histories,
on the Scriptures, on their teachings and we proved that it turned out to be
one of the biggest money making rackets
that the world has ever known. It became one of the biggest disgraces to
Christianity, because of the fruits that it bore. Yes! It started and was built
partly upon sodomy, and then all kinds of adulteries, fornications, and lies,
you name it. And we proved that
But then, in-between there we were still
saying that it was a move of God. The people were genuinely anointed of God,
and they had the Spirit of God, and they were gifted people, and many millions
were saved amongst them who were sincere and honest. So now, do not get me
wrong, that I am saying that all those people were lost, and they were a bunch
of hypocrites. No! When I say Pentecostalism, I am talking about people
trusting that anointing of 1906, trusting the manifestation of the gifts and
all that goes with it, for their salvation, because they preached, because they
prophesied, because they worked miracles, because they worked signs, because
they sang, because they can play music, and they were anointed. We do not doubt
that at all.
Now, but there is an underlying factor here
and that is you could manifest in the Spirit what you want, and you could
preach what you want, you could dance and sing. But if you deny the Word of God
and the messenger that God sends to you, you do not have the Spirit of God and the
anointing in your soul. There is a difference of being anointed on the outside
flesh, and being anointed on the soul. To be anointed on the soul is eternal
life, and to be anointed on the body outside, represents Judas and many other
people.
Judas was a man anointed and we brought that
out very plainly, that Judas was a man who was built upon Pentecostalism. And
when I say Pentecostalism, I mean an
imitation of the real article of the Day of Pentecost. Yes. That is what I
mean. I am saying that this same article of Pentecostalism has about four to
five hundred million Pentecostals around the world trusting that anointing to
go in the rapture, as their salvation. I am saying that many followers of the
message today trust Pentecostalism to go in the rapture and they are denying
another outpouring of the Holy Spirit, but the prophet said that you will
receive the Token or you will perish. There must be of necessity be another
outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

W.M.B.: 9-5 And we've come up through justification and so forth, but this is
the time that the Token has to be applied. I told you last Sunday, I had
something I wanted to talk to you about; this is it. The time that when you
just can't play with it. It's got to be done. If it's ever going to be done,
it's got to be done now; because we can see that the wrath is about ready to
pass through the land, and everything from under that Token will perish. The
Blood has identified you. (The
Token 63-0901m).

35-3 Pastor Neville, and to this congregation, trustees, deacons, to
you brethren, it's time that we laid aside all the foolishness of the world,
time we laid aside everything else. We've seen enough now, that we're positive,
sure, and the Token must be applied. Without it, you're going to perish; you
must perish. That is the only thing. Oh, don't come together, say, "I
believe it." Get beneath it. Get into it. How to do it? By one Spirit
we're baptized into the Body of Jesus Christ. Everybody believe with all your
heart. See? He was not responsible for any out from beneath it. (The Token 63-0901m).
What we have here today is people around the
message who are built upon Pentecostalism, and act like Pentecostals, manifest
gifts like Pentecostals, sing like them and preach like them, which is not a
problem. But, I am saying that right under the message they trust that article,
of so-called Pentecost to take them in the rapture, and all that could do for
you, is to take you through the tribulation. I challenge the world upon that
statement that I made, and I put that right upon the internet, and asked the
entire religious world to defy what I am saying, and not a man has written up
to now, to refute that from the message nor from any other source. That is the
truth, from the history, from the Bible and from the message. And I like the
quote what the brother read just now: “Say what the prophet said.”

W.M.B.: 285 Don't add what I've said, don't take away
what I've said. Because, I speak the Truth as far as I know It, as the Father
has given to me. See? Don't add to It; just say what I said. (God’s Only Provided Place Of Worship
65-1128m).
We
believe everything that the prophet said. And when he said that, “There will be
another outpouring of the Holy Spirit,” that is true too. When he said, “You will
have the Token or you will perish,” we believe that too, and when he said that,
“1906 was a counterfeit of the real article of Pentecost,” we believe that too.
Now, this article of so-called Pentecost, many times the prophet of God
referred to it in his message.

W.M.B.: 162 The choice of your conduct, you could...
You can't mix it now. You're either for God or against God, and the outward
expressions shows exactly what's on the inside. See? The cocklebur, many of you
think, "I got the baptism of the Holy Ghost; I'm going to heaven."
That don't mean one thing that you're going to heaven. No, sir. You can have the baptism of the Holy Ghost every
hour in your life and still be lost and go to hell. The Bible says so. See? It's exactly right. (Leadership 65-1207).
FOLLOWERS OF THE MESSAGE HAVE THE
1906 ANOINTING
Now, you and I know very well that a man
cannot have the genuine Holy Ghost, the seal of God and be lost and go to hell,
because he is sealed unto the Day of Redemption. Therefore the prophet of God
was speaking about another article, which the people were calling the baptism
of the Holy Spirit; and that same article Judas had it, and we proved that
throughout eleven messages, that article was an Old Testament article. We
proved that. That article came before the Day of Pentecost, and the apostles
were anointed, seventy were anointed and they worked signs, and wonders and
miracles, and they did all kinds of miracles and signs. But, something happened
along the way and that is, there was a man called Judas that got the same
anointing, and he was an unbeliever together with the seventy. When they heard
the deeper revelation of God, on the Son of Man, they denied it, and they
walked with Him no more, and only twelve disciples remained with Jesus, and one
of them was a Devil. That man worked signs, and wonders and miracles.

Now, what the prophet was speaking about on “Leadership” is right. He was speaking
about the article that preceded the article of Pentecost, which a man could
lose today for misbehaving himself. And those same people that received that
article had to go up to the Upper Room to receive another outpouring of the
Holy Spirit.
I am saying that the people that follow this message are anointed, and they are
gifted, and they are anointed preachers. But that article that they are using came
from 1906, and it cannot take them in the rapture. They need another outpouring
of the Holy Spirit! They will receive the Token or perish! Could anybody refute
that? [Congregation says, “No!”] Not
in the light of the message of God. There are dozens of places where Brother
Branham said, “You say, you have the Holy Ghost that does not even mean that
you are saved.”

W.M.B.: 144 You say, "I got the baptism of the Holy Ghost." That
don't mean that you're saved, not by a long ways. (The Rapture 65-1204).

100 I’m going to give you one that'll choke you. The baptism of the Holy Ghost don't mean you're going
in, not at all, not on that, don't have anything to do with your soul…The inside,
you have a spirit, and in there you have five outlets: your conscience, and
love, and so forth, five outlets to that spirit. Remember, in that spirit you
can be baptized with the genuine Spirit of God and still be lost. (Modern Events Are Made Clear By Prophecy
65-1206).
When this ministry and great revival broke in
1946, beloved, that same article was given out to many, many evangelists. That
was a repeat of what happened before the Day of Pentecost with the twelve and
the seventy. These evangelists came under the ministry of William Branham, and
they confessed with their own mouths, that he was the “father of that revival”
and the greatest evangelist known in modern times. All right! If you doubt me
check that encyclopedia called, ‘Wikipedia Encyclopedia,’ right on your
internet and see the testimonies that he was the father of that revival. And
out of him came forth other great evangelists like Oral Roberts, T.L. Osborne,
Tommy Hicks, and everyone of them, and a thousand faith healers one time were
gathered to honour William Branham, for being the father of that great revival.
During that time there went forth a great
anointing of the Holy Spirit and men were gifted of God. Look at this repeat of
Judas in that time when the revival was about over, to show you that that was
not the genuine article of Pentecost they were receiving; they rejected the
Word of God. They rejected the message that was sent to them by God, through
His prophet. It is the same thing Judas did, and that made manifest the false
anointed ones. So, all those great evangelist had the same article as Judas,
and Peter had the same thing. It was a genuine
article, and they were genuine gifts. Now, what we see in the world
tonight, yes, on the television, and on the fields and in other places, is that
same anointing working.
Now, the followers of Malachi 4 are in the same boat tonight and they are running
around the world today, evangelizing as apostles, and they call themselves
prophets and everything, and they cannot manifest the power of God. Now, do not
get me wrong. I am not saying that there are no miracles, and the day of
miracles is past. I believe a man could raise the dead. I believe that a man
could heal the sick. But my beloved, if you have the genuine article of
Pentecost, another Book of Acts will be written. That is what the prophet said.
We got to say exactly what he said.

W.M.B.: 113 And, listen, Jesus said, "I am the
Vine; ye are the branches." And if a branch brings forth a vine, and that
vine bears grapes, the next branch comes forth, it'll bear just like the first
branch did.
Oh,
you say, "Brother Branham, but we, look at all these churches."
That's grafted vines. Now, you can graft citrus fruit. You can take an orange
tree and put a lemon on it and it'll grow. That's what you--man grafted in. And
these organizations is what man grafted in. It's a lemon all the time. It'll
grow because it's stuck out in the church name. But let me tell you; if that tree ever puts forth another branch itself,
it'll bear an orange. And if the power of God ever puts forth another
church, it'll be another Pentecost.
And another Book of Acts will be wrote behind it, because it's the
I am asking the great anointed ones that are
in the message today: where is the book of Acts? You had forty years since the
prophet of God went his way. Where is that book of Acts? They are sitting powerless, and the majority of
them are denying another outpouring of the Holy Spirit. But we believe in an
outpouring of the Holy Spirit. It must come to pass; it is a great necessity to
the endtime church. Now, that is the truth of the Gospel. That is in the
message everywhere.
Pentecostalism has crept under the message,
beloved, and I do not have the time tonight, but as we go along with this if
the Lord leads, I am going to show you the same
manifestations, fanaticism and cult practices that we went through the
histories, of people falling down on the ground, women uncovering themselves,
men running with sheets to cover them, and where so-called Pentecost has sport
fields, and the churches play against one another, it is that same things under
the message today; when the prophet of God condemned the thing. He said;

W.M.B.: 25 Them young girls so drunk they couldn't hardly stand up, and in the
room all night with them boys, and awfullest dirty talk you ever heard in your
life. I put pillows over my head like this to try to go to sleep. Out in the
floors, drunk, and running up and down the floors like that, religious...
Now,
I can expect these sinful people like now, that call themselves sports, out
here in the bowling game. One of my kids would start towards a bowling alley,
I'd run him out of the country (uh-huh). Call that sport; that's not sports.
What's this... If you want to be right, get right with God. True. (Jezebel Religion 61-0319).
Now, I believe that is the truth too. I
believe that is the Word too. So, here they are running around the world today,
instead of seeking God for another outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Do not get me
wrong. I am not saying that they should not go. No! I am not saying that they
are not sincere, and that they are not honest in what they are doing, but
beloved brothers and sisters, we have to carry
the Gospel in the right way. Because the Gospel came not in Word only, but
it came in Word and Power, and that is right through the message of Brother
Branham. I wrote another book there, E.O.D.H. Book Seven, that speaks about
endtime harvest; many quotations are in there, where the prophet of God said
that the gospel must go in power. I do not think you could finish reading them.
So, we are trying to say what the prophet of God said.
What is it? Beloved, what happened is that, under this message, we have a mixed
multitude that came out of organization, called by Malachi 4. We have three
kinds of believers. Now, that is undeniable. We have the false anointed ones,
right under this message. Demon possessed men, handling the message of the
hour, standing behind the pulpit. We have some of God’s genuine servants, and
then we have make-believers under the message. Now, that is why I often time,
preached to you and said, “We as followers of the message, we have three kinds
of believers sitting right here in
MESSAGE FOLLOWERS
I am
saying that the article that many people are built upon, who now follow the
message, is Pentecostalism and that will keep them earthbound. And they are
proud with it, just like you hear over the television, and over the radio,
proud with it and they come forth as the mighty power of God. “I just lift my
hands and they fell back.” My beloved, all that is okay, but what about when
those people fell backward what are they receiving? What kind of lives are they living when they get up from there? You
want to tell me women in pants! That is contrary to the Word of God.
Adulteresses, and adulterers and whoremongers, receiving the true article of
Pentecost? Impossible! For you to receive that Holy Ghost, you must be holy,
because He is a Holy Ghost.
They claim around the world that people are
receiving the Holy Ghost. They are not receiving the Holy Ghost. Absolutely
not! They did not get that true Pentecostal article in 1906, and it came right
up here today. I will tell you how it came over. When this message went out in
this country, and other places there were people that were already in
Pentecost, and they had that anointing, they were gifted, they were preachers,
they were deacons, they were song-leaders and everything, and when they heard
the message, instead of contending for what the prophet of God said, “Contend
for another article of Pentecost,” they brought over what they had there. It
was genuine and they came and took up the message and started preaching. They
have churches and they brought over
their seeds. That is the truth. And right under the message every seed is
bringing forth after its own kind. We have as much Pentecostals under this
message, as there are in organization, right under the message. We have
Baptists, we have Catholics, we have Methodists, and we even have Hindus and
Muslims, with their same seeds that they never changed. And they brought them
over here and they are as badly divided as so-called Pentecost, with all the
assemblies. That is the reason for the
divisions, because they brought over their different seeds, they brought
over their different spirits, they brought over their gifts, which were genuine
and here friends, they are trying to handle a message of God. Yes, with that
anointing and deny another outpouring of the Holy Spirit and deny another
revival to come. O yes. Now, it goes to show the unbelief that has heaped up to
the skies.
I am not saying that everybody in
organizations is lost, friends. We had belonged to organization. And we left
those same things behind, of women falling on the ground, men running with sheets to cover their nakedness. It is
the same thing that they have right now around the message, and call it the
baptism of the Holy Ghost. We will not settle for that! We left that behind!
Pentecostalism has crept under the message, and we have three kinds of
believers, and we have a mixed multitude ever since the days of the prophet.
This did not happen until the prophet’s death.
Brother Branham was the messenger to the
Pentecostal people, and they so accepted him for thirty long years. When he
came by, he was their messenger. He loved those people, he preached among them,
healed their bodies by the power of God, supported their ministers and
everything, and they supported him. Almost all of the evangelical meetings
throughout the world, it was Pentecostals who supported them and sponsored
William Branham. He was not a stranger in so-called Pentecost. No!
So now, since that time, there had been a
calling out from organization. I will call it an exodus. There had been an
exodus out of organization, following the man called William Branham, with a
message. We came in very late. Way after the prophet was dead, we heard the
message. You could be as sincere as could be, you could love the Lord, and you
could belong to that system of Pentecostalism, and not go in the rapture. That
is my emphasis. That is what I said on Book Fifteen. That is what I am trying
to put over to the people that they are relying on the wrong article. If you do
not believe me now, you will believe me then, and that divides the foolish virgins and the wise virgins. The foolish
virgins were based upon Pentecostalism, and the wise virgins were built upon
another outpouring of the Holy Spirit. That divides it. Yes sir!
INDIVIDUALS BUILT UPON
PENTECOSTALISM
Now friends, we come right down to us. Bethel,
the House of God, wherever you are, you can be founded upon Pentecostalism as
an individual sitting under the truth if you fail to move on with God and press
into the kingdom of God. We have seen that manifested over the years. You say,
“How is it that a man could look so genuine, and after five, ten, fifteen or
twenty years that man could show up with such infirmities in his life, and then
backslide, and deny the message, and deny the Word of God?” The answer is right
here, my friends. He was anointed, he was gifted, he was used of God, but never
pressed on to have his soul anointed, and they took it for granted, knowing that
they have those things in their lives, ‘knowing that you are a sodomite,
knowing that you are an adulterer, a fornicator, a liar, and a thief,’ and then
because they feel the anointing of God, because they could preach, because they
could sing, because they could dance in the Spirit, and because they enjoy the
presence of the Lord, they take it for granted that God will overlook that in
their lives. It never happened in this world. It is the patience of the Lord.
It is longsuffering of the Lord and He said,
Hebrews
3:7 {Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,
Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the
wilderness.}
Genesis
6:3 {And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he
also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.}
A man has to be a dead hypocrite to hear the
Word of God from Elijah the prophet and in the way which you have heard it for
years and then after that entertain sodomy in his life, entertain adultery,
entertain a lying tongue and sit down there for years. There comes a day when
the Lord will say, “I demand that you be either hot or cold,” and the Lord will
spit him out of His mouth. We have seen that time and time again. That is the answer.
There is no wondering. No! When that happens that the Lord spits people out of His mouth, they become a trial to many
people by their stink.
I believe it was a trial to a lot of people
when Judas was made manifest. Imagine that Jesus claimed to have the truth and
all the apostles claimed to have had the truth and after they claimed to have
the truth, such things could have come out of that ministry that Judas backslid, found out to be a
thief. I said, “A thief.” Sold out Jesus for thirty pieces of silver and went
and hung himself. I believe those that were looking for a social gospel, and
hypocrites in their hearts, they found an excuse. It became a trial to the
borderline believers. It became a trial to the hypocrites that wanted the world
and wanted an excuse and thousands fell with that.
How many ended up in the Upper Room? Where
were the multitudes of five thousands and ten thousands and hundreds of
thousands? Where did they go? When they heard of bloodshed, when they heard of
murder, and all those other things, they said, “I can not be associated with
that.” They were looking for a social gospel and some of them had their hearts
in the world already, so they found an excuse to take their leave. Oh yes! That
is what happened.
Now, those same people that had an excuse to
leave the Gospel, left Jesus, and left the Word of God, they concluded in their
minds, because of Judas and said, “Well,
I thought it was truth, but finally it turned out to be a cult. I have to
pull the people out, from under that cult. After all Jesus was proven to be a
cultist and we made a big mistake. Wife, we made a big mistake, brother. Sorry
for taking you down to that meeting that day.” Now, that man who concluded that
was an unbeliever and a make-believer all the time. Yes. He was worried about
the tithes that he paid, worried about the money in the bag, worried about this
doctrine, and the next doctrine, and he was fighting all the time, and God done
that to get him out, to make manifest his colours. Thousands backslid.
Now, let me just prove to you the dishonesty
of the heart. Those same people that had an excuse to leave the truth because
it looked like it was just a cult, when it became public and a big scandal of
the great treasurer, apostle, minister, and preacher, under Jesus. That is who
Judas was. Yes, he backslid and he was out to be a thief and he found out that
Jesus was “wrong”, so he sold Jesus for thirty pieces of silver and got rid of
him. See how that Devil is? Now, the Devil has not changed his strategies.
That same man, who found an excuse to leave the truth, friends,
looks on the other hand. He might have been a soldier, and all kinds of things
happened to other soldiers and great generals; he never left the army. Maybe he
was a teacher, and there were all kinds of things going on in the teaching
service. Different ones were held for defiling young boys and girls right in
the teaching service; then he ought to have left the teaching service. If it
was a bank: we had other things where they locked up great men in the States,
for all kinds of fraud, so then they should have left the bank work. Do you see
how dishonest people are? [Congregation
says, “Amen!”] For the natural things they will bear the reproach, but for
the Word of God they do not want to pay anything, and God will curse them for that deceit in the
heart. Now, everybody that was looking for an excuse, to make their way out
from under the truth, found an excuse during that time.
Now, if we would run the line right, people
could be sitting right here today, and under the sound of my voice, that are
based upon Pentecostalism. I am not saying that we are good and everybody is
bad, friends. Now, if they do not move from where they are, with all the
pleading, and all the preaching and all the crying and become desperate, they
will perish, because it was declared already by the prophet that you will
become desperate, or you will perish. And it takes desperation to move off from
that kind of system and anointing. And beyond a shadow of a doubt, that is
presently the system that governs the
message of the hour. We have sincere people and everything, and that is why
they manifest like the other churches, and they are no better than
Pentecostals. They are no better than the organizations with the exception of a
true message that the prophet of God brought to us, and even that they have
perverted to suit themselves. There we are.
PENTECOSTALISM
REPRESENTED IN THE BIBLE
Pentecostalism was represented throughout the
Bible from Genesis to Revelation. Do not underestimate that statement.
Pentecostalism is represented from Genesis to Revelation. Friend, there was a
man called Cain who relied on Pentecostalism and Abel did not. There was a man
called Ishmael who relied upon that, but Isaac wanted something better. Abraham
and Lot, and
Let me put a little note here on Saul to
prove what Pentecostalism is. Now, you could be fully anointed, and you could
be swifter than an eagle, and you could be stronger than a lion even as Saul
and Jonathan, but friends, when you fill your cup with a certain amount of
iniquity, that Spirit could leave you. And that is exactly what happened to all
the evangelists today. After they rejected the message of the hour, Oral
Roberts went out and built a hospital, and they went into all kinds of
programs, and you hardly hear about these men. Now, even because of the
rejection of the Word of God these men lost
the Spirit that they received under the messenger, their messenger and our
messenger. And the Bible said that the Spirit left Saul and an evil spirit
troubled him.
I have news for you that when that Spirit
left Saul, there was another man in the wilderness that was being anointed as
the coming king. I am typing Saul as the backslidden church, and I am typing David
as the

And there are people around the world today
who have caught on to the vision of
another outpouring of the Holy Spirit and they are preparing for that. The
letters come in, brother, keep on coming. There are too many to read to you.
Everybody is confessing faith in that great outpouring of the Holy Spirit,
because all these great ministries that rose up with “thunders” and “thunders”,
and “thunders revealed”, are washed up now. The thunders are not revealed, and anybody
that says that, is not saying what the prophet said. (Seals, 567 to 578,) the prophet declared that the thunders were
not revealed. Yes sir! But it will be revealed to the public about the time
that the rapture is about to take place.

these thunders that will reveal the great revelation at that time. So I
believe, to us... If we don't know it, and it won't be knowed till that time,
but it will be revealed in that day, in the hour that it's supposed to be

Him, and do all that we know how to do, and live good Christian lives.
Here
now, we find that the Sixth Seal has been opened to us; we see it, and we know
that this Seventh Seal cannot be broke to the public until that hour arrives. (The Seventh Seal 63-0324e).
That is what he said. That is it. And then
there will come forth a power, through that great thunders revelation, in order to take up and challenge the
Pope, and stand against the Mark of the Beast. Around that time what will
happen, is that all that claim to have the great article of Pentecost, and they
do not want anymore of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, will be trembling
like backslidden Saul, and they will be happy to see David.
He was a very nashy, little fellow, the
smallest in the whole of the Israelite army, and he came across there and said,
“Who is that uncircumcised Philistine that defies the army of the living God?
Is there not a man to go out and fight against him?” And they said, “No. No man
has taken up the challenge.” He said, “I will go and fight against him.” He had
the anointing of God upon him. He said, “I will go and fight against this
Goliath.” King Saul started talking to him, he said, “But listen, this man had
been a warrior from his youth, and you are but a little fellow, a little lad,
you are not even a soldier.” He said, “I want to give you some testimonies. I
was tending my flock in the back part of the desert, and a lion came up, I
caught him by the beard and killed him bare handed, and a bear came up and I
killed the bear too.” Saul opened up his eyes, and he realized that was the
anointing that was upon him one time. And that little lad convinced the king
and all the generals that he could have
done the job, because he spoke with authority and he spoke with an
anointing. Do you know what a contrary thing it is to put your life, and the
whole of Israel’s life, and all the army, into the hands of a little fellow,
just about twelve or fifteen years of age? That man had to speak with
authority, and the Holy Spirit had to swirl around there, and anoint Saul and
say, “Yes, he will go.”
They tried to dress him up with all kinds of shields
and different things. He said, “I do not want that. He said, “I am accustomed
fighting in a certain way.” Yes sir! He said, “The same revelation, the same
Word, that killed the lion and killed the bear, is able to kill this
uncircumcised Philistine, and I will feed his carcass to the birds, because he
has defied the army of
And little David started running behind those
rocks, he put a stone in his slingshot, and he started swirling it around,
around, and around, and around, and around, and had Goliath like that. [Brother Bruce illustrates.] When you
are small you could fit anywhere. Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord and
you could fit anywhere. Oh yes. And he swirled that stone and old Goliath
wanted to know what in the world was going on. He was expecting a man with a
sword and a spear, but here is a man coming with a slingshot: “I do not even
know what it is. I have never even seen one of them.” And he started swinging
it around, and I imagine Goliath’s head going around and around.
Yes! When he heard the true revelation, his
head was spinning like that, and old Goliath got dizzy. It was not the stone
that killed the giant. No, my brothers and sisters. He let that stone go, and
the Holy Ghost followed the stone and anointed it, and that stone hit Goliath
like a big rock. Yes sir! “Bham!!” and burst his skull. It was not the little
stone. It was the Lord Jesus. It was the Spirit of God that anointed the stone,
and when it hit him, it felt like a thunderbolt of lightning and Goliath fell.
He ran up there, and took his own sword and chopped off his head, took him up
by his “Rasta hair” and carried him to King Saul and threw it. Yes sir. He
said, “Let me tell you it is the power of God. I never did that in myself.” He
said, “Where is the wife you promised me?” O yes. Glory to God! Yes sir!
Before the Lord presents this Bride to
Christ, Goliath must be slain. This unbelief must be slain. Unbelief has heaped
up to the skies amongst the followers of Malachi 4, and there is Pentecostalism
right under the message today, and they are going through the wilderness. You
say, “At what stage has the followers of Malachi 4, 5-6 reached?” They are yet in the wilderness, and they have
not yet crossed

FOLLOWERS PRESENT STAGE OF JOURNEY
Now,
Now Moses came with only one great message, with all the messages that he preached and that
was, “Come out of

There ought to have arisen a man like Moses
in the endtime to lead an exodus. That is why the prophet of God preached, ‘The
Third Exodus’. There was a third
exodus, and in this third exodus here, Moses was the one that led that exodus.
His name was William Branham and he led an exodus of believers out of all
organizations, but mainly Pentecostals. So now, Malachi 4, 5&6, God’s
servant and prophet, Revelation 3:14, the messenger to the Laodicean church
age, Revelation 10:7, the man to open up all these mysteries of God in the
endtime, was the man called William Branham. People get the wrong idea and
think that we worship William Branham. No sir. That is a lie that was
fabricated by a man called Hagin, a liar, because he wanted to be a prophet. I
have a booklet right now in circulation here, and friends, that is a hideous
lie that they made on William Branham, but he was the messenger to Pentecost
and God’s children. William Branham led another exodus, and as certain as Moses

But, brother, the same God that made them that promise is making us every
promise that He made them. Why do we doubt it? "What are you trying to
say, Brother Branham? Is it a mixed multitude?" Yes, exactly that's right.
It's a mixed multitude. And we're at
Kadesh right now. (At
Kadesh Barnea 56-0527).
Now, these three kinds of believers followed
for many reasons. Some followed because of the signs and wonders and miracles.
When it was finished they dropped off. Some followed because of better living,
Promised Land, and Moses said milk and honey. So, they had milk and honey in
their minds. Some followed because they wanted to get away from the task masters’ whip, and that is where
we came from. We were under the task master, and we had whips on our backs through
oppression, depression and suppression. And we came from a life of the world.
Many of us were unhappy people. Some of us had everything, but never had peace.
And some followed Moses because of ambition, because of gaining knowledge, and
those are the kinds of people that follow the message today. Some followed to
make the message a platform and the name of William Branham a platform. Some
followed for position and few followed for eternal life.
Now these people, picture it now, we are
typing out here, the people that followed this message from way down in
organization. I will go back as far and early as 1933 right up to1946, they
were following a Moses. Now, this man had dynamic signs and wonders and
miracles, as no other preacher had. That is documented in histories, documented
everywhere. It is useless to even argue about something like that. They said
that the most supernatural ministry of modern times, William Branham had it.
Why didn’t they listen to him? The most supernatural ministry, Moses had it.
Ten great wonders down in
WILDERNESS
TEMPTATIONS FOR ALL
He finally got the people out, and they
started to follow, but there was a mixed
multitude with a different purpose. Yes. They had a different purpose. They
sang, they danced, they cried, they testified about how Moses was such a great
man. Oh my. They had honour and they had respect. Let us stop for a moment.
Friends, that types out the message today, and the millions that acknowledged
William Branham as a prophet, and a great servant of God. When those miracles
and signs went down, they went back to the organizations, and then a group that
stayed true to the message came forward, and they were marching to the Promised
Land.
Now watch. You could testify what you want
with your mouth and you are supposed to testify. You are supposed to dance, you
are supposed to cry, you are supposed to sing, you are supposed to honour the
prophet of God, you are supposed to be thankful for his Word, but on the back
part of your mind, whether you testify, or not, brothers and sisters, you must
past through wilderness temptations.
You said, “This is truth.” You said, “It is the greatest message you ever
heard.” You said, “It is the greatest preacher you ever heard.” You testified
that, “This is the presence of God; this is the power of God.”
Every
son that the Lord receiveth He chasteneth and He trieth, and if ye are without
chastisement then are ye bastards and not sons. After you hear this message,
you have a wilderness journey. Every one of you believers here that embraced
Christianity, and embraced this message, you have a wilderness journey as an
individual, and you will go through wilderness temptations. That is to prove
your testimonies. That is to prove the singing. That is to prove the music that
you play. That is to prove your tears.
That is to prove your testimony about Moses. I am telling you the Gospel truth.
Can you imagine people leaving
And he sent him to the wilderness to be
tempted forty days and forty nights. “A sinless Son of God, God passed him
through wilderness temptations?” You understood me just right. Woe be unto you,
and woe be unto me that are sinners saved by grace. We have a wilderness
journey, and it could be sickness, it could be separation, it could be
hypocrisy surfacing, and I will show you right in the Bible here, that you have
a wilderness journey. When you embrace this message and you embrace
Christianity, you have a wilderness journey, and the wilderness journey gets tough
sometime. And as you draw closer to the Promised Land, it becomes more
ridiculous, and stronger. You will see more deceit; you will see Judas showing
his colours. Yes friends, you will see brothers turn to enemies and you will
see men that you count upon become enemies. So now, why would the Lord send His
beloved children through wilderness temptations and pass them through a
wilderness journey like that? God said it right in the Bible.
Deuteronomy
8:2 {And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these
forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what
was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.}
Friends, if you have a mixed multitude going down
the road, and they claim to be going to inherit the Promised Land, which would
have eventually become an eternal kingdom, would not God have to shake out the
unbelievers and the make believers? And does He not have a method in doing
that, and His method is perfect? Exactly! So, He has His method and you cannot
tell God what to do. Here is a mixed multitude and everybody is saying they are
believers and God knows differently. And this is what God said of
And friends, let me tell you something. If
you love something in this world more that God, something is coming to stumble you out of the way. A
fornicator could rise up in the house of God, an adulterer could rise up in the
house of God, a minister could fall and from the time that minister falls,
because your heart was in the world, and because you were a borderline believer
and because you were a dead hypocrite that never believed from the beginning,
you could start saying, “I told you it was a cult. It proved out now, it is a
cult.” Imagine that! It was a cult because Judas fell, it became a cult in the
minds of certain people that wanted the world and who did not believe from the
beginning. And ten men could commit adultery in the bank, but they still go
back to work in the bank, I am saying, “Come on.” How much corruption comes out
of the police force? They never leave their jobs, they could bear that reproach
for the natural, but for the spiritual they are offended. Anybody that gets
offended, it goes to show that you are one of those other kinds, instead of the
good seed that brought forth a hundred fold. And Jesus said:

They
started off real joyfully: “We are going to the Promised Land,” and then
because they had no root in themselves, persecution arose and then they brought
no fruit to perfection. My brothers, and sisters, anytime you see men fall
here, and around the message, fall in adultery, fall in fornication and sodomy,
it is happening for our examples. That we do not even have to have historical
examples, but we must have living examples in the message and around the world,
that you could pinch your conscience, and say, “I better clean up this thing in the bedroom. I better clean up this
tongue of mine. I better clean up this. My God, I have certain things down
inside there and I might be next.” You say, “Brother Bruce, I do not want to be
next.” You do not have to be next. Yield to the Spirit; get rid of the nasty
thing. Commit yourself to the Lord. You say, “I feel hopeless. I have spoken
all kinds of things against everybody.” I say, clean up the nasty thing, start
anew, and let us go forward. We are going forward.
Friends,
the Lord had a reason for passing them through the wilderness journey. That is
His perfect method, number one and that was to separate the unbelievers from the
make-believers. Did He accomplished that at the end of it under Moses, and the
pure children of God went over the
Ephesians
Any
man that you see want to be good
with everybody, and “you preach what you want, and I preach what I want, and
another fellow preach what he wants,” you are a big compromiser, and a dead
hypocrite. Yes. I hope you hear me there in Africa and in

the patriarch was never absolutely fully blessed until he obeyed exactly what
God said do. And we'll never, never, never be blessing, and have the blessings

TEMPTATIONS MAKE
MANIFEST THE SINS OF THE HEART
That is the only way that we will enter the
Promised Land: that was to separate the believer from the unbeliever. Now, let
me put this in here: Not only separate the make believer and the unbeliever,
but friends, that was to make manifest the believer. Did not Joshua and Caleb
shine like stars, because they confessed faith and said that “we are more than
able to take the land?” That is the big issue
in the message today. People want to settle for a dead organizational
something, “revival’s over, this over, the next over. There is no more next
outpouring of the Holy Spirit,” and sit down there and wait for the rapture in
their Pentecostalism, dead and powerless condition, and hope to go in the
rapture. They are not going without another outpouring of the Holy Spirit. They
are not going without that article.
This
is to make manifest the real children of God. I am telling you that if you are
not for this one hundred percent, something is coming to offend you, and take
you out of the way. Believe Brother Bruce. If you have sins that you will hold
on to in your life:
When
you see a person get up from here, and they just walk out and behave like they
are mad. They go out and get any man or woman in the world, drink rum, pass in
front of the church as if they never knew Christianity. God spit out some of
them from His mouth. He is fed-up and tired; and they are tired of hearing the
Gospel, they are tired of hearing the voice of pleading. God is tired and then
He spits them out. People think that God is a sweetbread God. Somehow the Lord
will save them. After they sat and heard the Word of God, and all the advice,
all the counsel, and then get up and treat this Word of God, as an unholy
thing. The Bible said, “They crucified Christ the second time afresh, and they
are fit for the burning.”
Hebrews 6:6-8 {If they shall fall
away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves
the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
For the earth which drinketh in the
rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it
is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:
But that which beareth thorns and
briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.}
May
God bring back such people before it is too late. I believe that a man could
blaspheme the Holy Ghost friend. Yes. I believe we have the Holy Ghost but
there got to come another outpouring of the Holy Spirit, because the Spirit
that we have now cannot take anybody in
the rapture. You cannot go in the Rapture with that alone.
The
Lord said that He passed them through the wilderness to prove what was in them.
Children, everyday the Lord is trying to prove what is in you, and he will make
you manifest it everyday. He will make the Word come down and see your attitude
to that Word. He will let correction come down and see your attitude to that.
See if you want to stone Moses. You as an individual, God have picked out a
wilderness journey for you. I hope everybody is hearing me. It is chosen of
God, and your own wilderness temptations
are hand picked by God. Mine may not be yours, and yours may not be mine.
But your own wilderness journey is hand picked by God, as an individual to suit
your life, and your needs. It is to make you manifest the deceit that is in the
heart. Make you manifest what you love the most. It is to prove what you held
back from God, because the judgement must be set. And although God knows what
is in a man, and He could judge that man fairly because He had known that heart
and soul. To set the judgment, He must make a man manifest what he has in his
heart, to have witnesses for the judgment, because He keeps His laws, and He
said,

When
you manifest that, the Lord has witnesses; the elect will be the witnesses, and
you will judge angels, messengers, the Bible said,
I Corinthians 6:3 {Know ye not that
we shall judge angels?}
Yes, and God will make you manifest what is in your heart. Why does He
bring that particular temptation? It is
not that he is tempting you. He allowed you to be tempted by the Devil,
because He knows that you are able to bear it. So, when a man says, “That the
temptation was so great, and I just could not stand.” He is a liar. Whether its
sickness, whether it is troubles, whether it is father, whether it is mother,
whether it is the pastor, whether it is backslidden Parham, whoever it is, He
knows that you are able to bear it. You are without excuse, and when you will
say, “This fellow fell who brought me here fell; I think I cannot make it. I am
really sincere, I am really honest, but I do not want to be identified with a
cult.” You are a heretic! You are a deceitful wretch! A deceitful hypocrite
that wants the world.
Parham is not the problem. The backslidden
fellow is not the problem. It is you that is the problem. You want something in
the pub. You want something in the hotel. You want something in the dancehall,
and you were lusting for the things of the world. That is why you could follow
a false prophet. Yes. God sends heresies into the church. Yes. “Brother Bruce,
I feel your tongue slipped there, you know.” I am saying that God sends
heresies into the church. Yes, and the Lord said He allows heresies that those
that those that are among you may be made manifest.
I Corinthians
In other words, if you are approved before God as an elect, you will
ride over that heresy, and you will show up in that time, as a real child of
God and when these things start rolling around, and who fall, fall and who want
to go, go, friends, you will stand up like a hero, and you will stand as an approved
son of God, an approved daughter of God. You will stand as approved Caleb, and
as approved Joshua. I am telling you the truth. I do not know how long I
preached for, but the truth is sweet.
God
knows every one of you, but you have to manifest that. He will make you
manifest that by these wilderness temptations. Every one of you. What may be
your wilderness temptation may not be mine; and what I think that you should
just ride over, could be a terrible thing under the fifth rib, because you love
that thing. Your wilderness temptations could be your children, because your
life is wrapped up in that affection, and you will sell the Word of God any day
for those children. You become a big compromiser and a worthless person that
cannot stand for the Word of God.
Do
you know that there was a shorter way to the Promised Land and the Lord
purposely chose the longer way? Yes, and God has many ways to deal with His
children. He could give them a flowery
bed of ease. What about if He had given
Now,
you find that a hypocrite will sit right under the truth and hide a television
in the bedroom. That is only manifesting the hypocrite that he is. I am telling
you. People sit under this truth, friends, and they have their own program of
what they want to obey, and what they do not want to obey. And on top of that,
they could find fault with everybody in the church. Let somebody slip, and they
have a beam in their own eye and they try to take out the mote from their
brother’s eye. That is how it goes.
I
am saying that God’s method is perfect. It is to make manifest the mixed multitude. It is to manifest the unbelief in the
Token’s Land. That is why God sends you through the wilderness journey, to make
manifest your unbelief in the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. That is where He
has the followers of Malachi 4 right now. There was a shorter way; and this
Rapture could have taken place in the days of the prophet, if God had so
planned it. And everybody looked for the rapture in that time, but He chose the
longer way. Forty long years have passed. And what they should have done in
three days, a three days journey it took them forty years, and after that they
crossed over. What caused that? Unbelief in the promise of God; and that land
types the outpouring of the Holy Ghost. And that is where the followers of
Malachi 4:5 & 6 are now standing, with unbelief in another revival, unbelief
in another outpouring of the Holy Spirit. They interpret everything as
fulfilled already. “The tent meeting is fulfilled already.” Oh, “revival is
over.” Which revival is over? They cannot answer that one. They already have
the article of Pentecost. You do not have it! You are built upon
Pentecostalism, and that is why you are powerless,
and that is why the church is powerless. Yes sir! You must go back to another
outpouring of the Holy Spirit. And the prophet of God said on the Church Ages
tape,

outside of your door and knock all the time. There's a time when He'll get
enough and turn away, then you'll do the knocking but you'll never find Him.
Come while there's time. Come while there's a knock. Don't you compromise with anything less than the baptism of the
Holy Ghost like they got at Pentecost, with the same type of water baptism, the
same things that they did there. Don't you let nothing put anything in your
heart less than that. (The

come out right, as the brother advised. Yes sir. This was to make manifest the
deceit that was in

these people that followed Moses after seeing ten mighty miracles that never
took place in the history of the world, do you not think that they should have
been determined to purge out all those things, and leave those things in
I
believe that Parham had enough time, after seeing that great display of power,
signs and wonders, he had enough time to purge out his sodomy, purge out his
vice, but he had loved those little boys and to pervert them, more than the
Word of God. And when a man is corrected by
Proverbs 28:13 {He that covereth his sins
shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.}
That
is what the Bible said. And any time a man covers his sin that is the end of
him, and in such a manner to go to such an extent as to fight

let us look at Moses there, typing out the people under the message, typing out
the prophet of God. God passed them through the way of the wilderness, to prove
what was in them. And if you want to find out what was in those lovely people
that were shouting, and testifying, and praising God when they came out of
Malachi 4: 1 {For, behold, the day cometh,
that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly,
shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of
hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.}
Malachi 4: 5 {Behold, I will send you Elijah
the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD.}
William
Branham fulfilled that scripture of Elijah the prophet. We ought to listen to
that message not the man: the man is gone, but that is Jesus’ message. God
passed them through the wilderness to prove what was in them. And friends, do
you know what He had done? He loosed
Satan, after they had testified and jumped up and praised. And after God
sent His prophet, and a message, He loosed the false anointed ones, immediately
after the days of the prophet. That is what is functioning under this message
today. The false anointed ones, the true servants of God, the true people of
God and three kinds of believers.
Now,
look at the attitude of those people. They came to the
“Moses,
come this way, follow the Pillar of Fire.” And the Pillar of Fire led them
between two mountains, with a

They were the same people that had seen all those miracles. Yes. And the big leaders were stirring
up the people. Those that were suspicious that it was a cult, stirred up the
people and they said, “Stone him! Stone Moses! We thought that he was a true
servant of God, but stone him!” Is that not the same Devil today that will stir
up backsliders and unbelievers. It takes a ringleader to do it? [Congregation says, “Amen!”] “Stone
Moses! Stone him! It is a cult! We proved that it is a cult! We are all

“Let
us repent.” Moses said, “Ten times have you seen the miracles of God and yet
you do not believe.” How many times we seen the hand of God? How many times you
seen the miracles of God in your life? Do you think it is a simple miracle to
bring you from your gambling den, and your whore house, and bring you out of
your shorts, and bring you out from the world? They are great miracles. And
after a while people just turn their backs on that grace they wait for
something to come up in the House of God to have a reasonable excuse. In an
hour of temptation you will only
manifest what is in your heart.

people had those things in their hearts right along from

you think friends that would have straightened everybody, but they were a mixed
multitude. Deceit was in the heart that though they seen the

about blasphemes. They murmured against Moses and you know that man had loved
them so much that he touched the rock one time and water came out. Oh yes! And
that man got so angry with their rebellion that he said:

broke the Word of God, broke every type in the Bible, because of that bunch of
people. After they had seen the
Hebrews 4:6 {Seeing therefore it remaineth
that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered
not in because of unbelief:}
That
is what is predominant among the followers of Malachi 4 today. They do not
believe that there is another outpouring of the Holy Spirit, and make-believe that they are in some great
evangelism, some great apostolic ministry. They are all liars. They are not in
any great apostolic ministry. They are powerless and they need to go back to
Pentecost. That is the Gospel truth of it.
As
we come closer to the Token’s land, this outpouring of the Spirit, there will
be greater trials than we have seen under Moses. None of these people died for
their murmuring in the early period of their journey. Do you know where their
death started coming? When anointed men arose, built on Pentecostalism, where
gifted men arose, intellectual men arose, and those are the kinds of people
that brought death to the people. That is your false anointed ones under the
message. You say, “Where is the false
anointed ones typed out under Moses? Korah, Abiram and Dathan. They were
anointed and gifted, two hundred and fifty princes, singers with them, and this
was going to bring death to the people. Now, every time Satan moved on that
journey he devoured some. The group was large so he devoured sometimes thousands,
even twenty-three thousand.
I Peter 5:8 {…the devil, as a roaring lion,
walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.}
Although he cannot conquer the church
many times, he is lurking around to see who
he could devour, and that man who is slack, and not alert to the Spirit, he
catches him and eats him. All kinds of trash are down in his soul, and he is
not trying to purge those things out. Somebody starts whispering in his ears,
and he receives it. The serpent, the Devil could be right on your bed, just like
Job’s wife. She said:
Job 2:9 {…curse God, and die.}
Satan could be right next to you, and if you are not built up right
that snake starts hissing in you. When a snake starts hissing, he is ready to
bite you. Don’t you know that when that rattle snake starts hissing and making
that noise, he is already set and he is coming to kill you? But people do not
understand that. They hear an old serpent
starts hissing in their ear on the telephone that the minister is a
deceiver, the minister is a cultist, he is this and he is that. That is a
serpent hissing and it is getting ready to bite you! Run for your life! That is
how it goes. People do not have that sense around the message. They stand right
there and they think they could hear everything. Brother Branham said:

accept it. When Satan walked up to Eve and said, "You know, the fruit's
pleasant," she stopped for a moment. Oh, that's when she made a
mistake, when she stopped for a moment. Don't stop for nothing. You've got
the message. Jesus lives; God's a Healer; that's the message. Don't stop for
nothing, no reasonings, no nothing else.
But she stopped for a moment. That's
when Satan walked right into that mind. Said, "Well, it sounds
reasonable." Oh, don't do that. Just take what God said. (The Greatest

thought that she was able to argue with the serpent, and overcome that
intellectual mind but the Devil from that serpent jumped on her, and she went
out of control, friend, until she started seeing just like the serpent. It is a
fruit to be desired and pleasant to the eyes. In other words, “I now catch what you are saying. You
know I did not make out that Bruce and how false he is all the time. It took me
fifteen years to find out that Bruce is a false prophet.” You are very
unspiritual to take fifteen years to find that out. You sound like a goat. Now,
that is the kind of serpent that hisses in people’s ears. And when you start
listening to unbelief in the Word of God after saying “Amen” for five years,
ten years, fifteen years or twenty years: “Amen! Amen! Yes! Yes! There is not a
man like my Pastor. There is not a man like Brother Bruce!” There is a
wilderness journey of temptation coming for you. God is going to put you
through a test, and He will bring a serpent to hiss in your ear.

thought that she was strong enough.
So too did Doctor Miriam. That serpent started hissing in her ear and she
thought that she was strong. She told me, “Nothing can happen to me. I am not
bothering about it.” I said, “Do not listen to that!” She fought and fought,
and fought, and stood up for a year or two; and friends, that serpent swore: “I
will get you out of
Another
arose called Absalom. He thought that he was strong enough to go and listen to
the serpent. He went mocking, and the spirit from that man, jumped upon him and
bit him. Now, notice in all those uprisings
it devoured some souls. You know the history of it. Those are personal
testimonies now. One group rose up: “the Brawler” and it devoured a few souls.
Do you know what caused them to be devoured? They had things in their lives
which they did not want to give up. They had unbelief. They were fully
convinced that it is a cult, that they had belonged to for ten years or fifteen
years. And then the Devil made another attack, took up another handful and went
with them. As much as they heard the Word of God they catered to unbelief.
Other attacks came, and another attack followed and a few always goes:
I
preached a message last year: ‘Soul
Devouring Offenses’, and if you don’t correct those offences, Satan will
devour you. Why did not those souls listen to what I was saying? Some people
are possessive of the Pastor, and the Pastor’s family, and if they do not get
the treatment they expect, they have a standoff and are all puffed up. What
about if everybody in the congregation gets possessive of the Pastor? He would
not be able to rest day nor night. And that is a Devil upon a person that will
come up and say, “They do not like me but they like my husband.” It is a Devil:
and they have no evidence of that, but yet cater to that kind of a spirit. That
is a spirit of the Devil to take away their soul. That is a serpent hissing in
your ear. And that was the problem in that church. Jezebel was not loved as she
expected to be loved. That is the way the Devil works.
Now,
the same Miriam that danced and sang after the Egyptians were drowned, and she
made a song about it, she came to that place, and became so possessive of her
brother, and she became super spiritual insomuch that she said:
Numbers 12:2 …Hath the LORD indeed spoken
only by Moses? Hath he not spoken also by us?
And
she started finding fault with Moses. The man that opened the
I
wonder what caused Miriam to behave like that. Maybe she thought that Moses did
not give her enough attention as a sister, and she did not get enough attention
from Moses’ family and wife. Maybe she had a quarrel with the Ethiopian woman
before and she had malice that she never purged it out. Do you see where it
surfaced? She had to have something against that woman. She had to have
ambition and jealousy, so when it came up to that place: “Has God spoken to
Moses alone? Hath he not spoken by us?” She spoke evil of Moses concerning the
Ethiopian woman (Numbers 12:1). It
never said what she said, but it had to be nasty, she spoke evil.
You
could imagine the nasty things that came out of Miriam’s mouth that brought God
down, and summoned them to the temple, and caused the Pillar of Fire, and the
cloud to move from the tabernacle? “Everybody talks about that woman but I tell
you, you do not know that woman. And Moses, like he is blind, he cannot see
that woman’s fault. I do not have anything to do with them.” That was the kind
of spirit. Imagine that she said, “Everybody talk up about Moses’ wife.” And
maybe the Ethiopian woman was dead, because I never read of her in the
scriptures. He had another wife, which was Jethro’s daughter. But that
jealousy, malice and hatred was passing on, and that tongue convinced Aaron.
What do you think the Devil was doing? He was making them find fault with the
woman, to come against the ministry, and they were blind to that.
The
Devil comes and starts touching the
minister’s children, watching at their faults and watching at the other
things. But little does that person know, the Devil is coming for their soul. The next thing is to attack the
ministry and God will cut them off. That is the kind of strategy of the Devil,
but people do not estimate that. People puff themselves up because they do not
get the attention they want. You are possessive, and God will rub your nose on
the ground, until you get away from that self-centeredness.
You want everybody to pamper and pet you.
Doctor Miriam came to my door one day. We were
going down to an island. I got an invitation to go with somebody. She said, “It
is only one set of people that goes with you all the time.” Could you imagine
something like that? Somebody has to think of themselves very highly. In other
words, they are qualified and you are only carrying certain people, indicating
partiality. Look at that in the Bible,
Mark 9:2 {…Jesus taketh with him Peter, and
James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by
themselves…}
And
Jesus could have been charged for partiality. But, you see, the fact is that
Jesus did not want Judas in that Mount transfiguration experience. No. If a
minister is spiritual he knows the spirits of people, and if he is going
somewhere, he do not want that spirit around him, because that spirit is a
buffeting spirit, pride, self and fuss. I cannot stay around a fussy person.
Miriam’s sin slowed down the journey. The Bible said:
